  • Origin of Bread Pudding Recipe

    Though the exact origins of the delectable dish remain unclear, it is known that in the mid of 13th century England the meal was termed as the ‘poor man’s pudding’ as the chefs couldn’t afford to throw away the ingredients. So they mixed pieces of bread with milk and raisins and originated what we know today as bread pudding.

    Preparation Method for Bread Pudding Recipe

    Step 1:

    Preheat oven to a temperature of 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).

    Step 2:

    Place torn bread pieces in an 8-inch baking pan (square-shaped). Spread melted butter over bread pieces and sprinkle raisins over the top.

    Step 3:

    Whisk milk, eggs, sugar, cinnamon, and vanilla together in a mixing bowl until they’re blended. Pour this mixture over torn bread pieces and push down the fork for the bread pieces to soak the mixture.

    Step 4:

    Bake in a preheated oven until the bread turns golden brown. Top with chocolate chips. Serve hot.
